Origins Lip Remedy

Around $100-$150

As I have mentioned before, I have been using this for a very long time. I do believe that I have went through quite a few generations of this, from the one where it looks like a lip gloss with an applicator, and then a tube like one same size as the mini Juicy Tubes by Lancome and then now this version of it.

I personally love this because it really is very hydrating, in the description it calls itself the 'soothing lip saver'. My lips are always dry and dehydrated all the time, even in the summers and it is really hard to actually find one that is hydrating enough and at the same time with a decently low consistency, others that I have tried are way too sticky or heavy to wear during Summer and it is really irritating.

The product itself is very creamy, the consistency is between lotions and hand creams. After applying it, you would feel a hint of cool mint on your lips, but it is not as strong as the Mentholatum ones, it feels like when a soft breeze blows upon your face when you have lip gloss on, it is not long lasting though.

I'd say that there are two flaws to this product, first is that as mentioned the formula has a creamy texture to it, therefore when you use it, it would leave your lips looking whiter than it should be; but then all you have to do is gently pat your lips with your finger and your lips will absorb the product faster and the whiteness will go along with it. Secondly, though it is really hydrating, it doesn't last very long during the day, so you would really need to apply it constantly during the day, maybe 4 -5 times, so for people who would want to just put something on once a day (technically speaking, lip products are generally expected to be applied on more than once a day), you might want to use something that is thicker.

I recommend to use this during the day before any lip products, this product might not be hydrating enough for night time use before you sleep.
